Social Enterprise
Trobius is an exponent of Social Enterprise. We believe that economic prosperity is supported by the creation and sustainability of social/community enterprises. We also consider that social enterprises have generally had a rough time over recent years, with assumptions on commercial realism of services and products provided, the employees of social enterprises and a perception that business know-how is lacking.
Trobius views that many social enterprises are just a step away from commercial sustainability and, with thought and research, can become a keen competitor and employer in local communities and further afield.
To this end, we at Trobius are keen to promote and be involved with Social Enterprises providing services required in the commercial market place.
Additionally we are keen to ensure that the widest possible interpretation of social enterprise is adopted – we consider that social activities are defined by the user rather than solely charitable objectives and/or non-profit distributing.
So with this in mind, we provide a number of services including consultancy and non-executive directorships that are designed to assist social enterprises/encourage new social enterprises to take advantage of the changing landscape of our economy.
