Trobius, as an experienced DWP contractor with experience of employer engagement activities,  is submitting a tender to become the Prime Contractor for the Department for Work and Pensions, Backing Young Britain: Non Graduate Internships and Work Experience programme.  The programme will run from end January 2010 to June 2011 and will provide up to 20,000 non-graduate internship placements (between 6 and 13 weeks at a minimum of 16 hours per week) and 5,000 work experience placements (of 2 weeks) for unemployed 18-21 year olds across England, Wales and Scotland.

In order to achieve a strong tender we are looking for organisations to partner us, acting as potential subcontractors, to achieve an effective geographic and capacity spread to provide sufficient and appropriate engagement with employers as well as organisations who can provide high quality support to young people whilst they are participating.

We are keen to explore partners in and around the Lowlands & Uplands areas to assist us with potential bids for funding that support workless individuals to improve their job prospects.

Trobius are already bringing together partnerships to develop and bid for programmes under this fund to support some of our corporate objects in assisting young people, assisting communities and creating sustainable social enteprise.
