Work-Experience in Bedfordshire
On behalf of Central Bedfordshire Council, Trobius provide a service for unemployed residents of Bedfordshire, England, to access work experience opportunities with local employers.
Trobius manages all aspects of the support programme to locate and secure a voluntary placement for an individual within a real employer, undertaking real work, as a method to improve their working experience which, in turn, improves ability to secure ongoing paid employment.
Our role includes ensuring that placements meet appropriate Health and Safety requirements, that employers are aware of and flexibly manage individual circumstances and helping those on placements to continue to look for and secure employment whilst at the same time enabling them to manage their own personal circumstances.
Regularly we gain referrals from other service providers in the area looking to gain additional help for their customers to improve their economic position. Central Bedfordshire Council use ESF co-financing to fund us to facilitate a record of achievement against an individualised action plan. This record of achievement underpins an individual’s CV and is used to support and improve job applications.
Trobius has a built a bank of small to large employers in Bedfordshire who have sought to support their local communities through enabling work-placement opportunities available to local residents.
